Wimbledon Travel
Up to 500,000 visitors are expected in total over the two weeks. Spectators are strongly advised to use public transport as traffic will be heavy and parking is very limited.
District line trains run every 4 minutes from Earl’s Court and terminate at Wimbledon. A shuttle bus service runs every 5 minutes direct to the Championships from Wimbledon and Southfields stations all day until late evening.
There is a regular train service running from Waterloo to Wimbledon. In addition many other long distance services will call additionally at Wimbledon station.
Trams run every 10-15 minutes from East Croydon station to Wimbledon station during the day on Monday to Saturday, and once every 30 minutes on Sundays and early mornings/evenings. This service takes around 26 minutes.
As well as the shuttle bus from Wimbledon and Southfields stations a special service will operate direct from Marble Arch and Victoria to the Championships, departing every 30 minutes.
Car parking at The Championships is strictly limited and traffic delays do occur. All spectators are strongly advised to use public transport services wherever possible. Traffic is advised to travel to Wimbledon via the M25 and exit at J9 or J10. Then use the A3 northbound (via the A243 from J9) to the A219 Tibbet's Corner in Putney. A Park & Ride service is available at Morden Park and is signed from the A240 & a24. Car Parking is £15 with free bus shuttle to The Championships. A one-way system operates outside the Championships throughout the tournament.
Some engineering work may affect journeys. These are subject to change and you should check regis for live information
• On the 28th June First Capital Connect services will not operate across Central London. Passengers should use the Northern line for connecting services.
• On the 5th and 6th of July Southwest trains will have replacement buses between Leatherhead and Effingham Junction. Trains between London Waterloo and Guildford via Epsom will be altered to run to and from Dorking.
• On the 6th of July a replacement bus service will run between Woking and Alton.
• On the weekend of the 28th and 29th of June the Jubilee Line will be suspended from North Greenwich to Stratford and the Northern Line will be suspended from Colindale to Edgware
• On the weekend of the 5th and 6th of July the Jubilee line will be suspended from Green Park to North Greenwich, the Metropolitan Line will be suspended from Northwood to Amersham and from Chesham to Watford. The Northern line will once again be suspended from Colindale to Edgware.
