"We are surprised by the results of the tests on the baby changing facilities at our Woodstock Connect site. These toilets are used very heavily day and night by our customers and we endeavour to keep them as clean as possible at all times.
"We take the findings seriously and are reviewing our cleaning policies especially in relation to the baby changing trays at sites where these are available."

every 45 minutes and the highest levels of hygiene are paramount to
ourselves and our customers.

facilities for its customers. This is emphasised by the fact that the

"We thank ITV Thames Valley News for bringing to our attention their findings, which naturally cause us great concern.
"All our trains receive a heavy clean overnight and also regular cleaning throughout the day from onboard cleaners who pay particular attention to toilet areas. Each of our trains has three members of onboard staff who patrol all coaches regularly, and we are certainly not aware of any general problems of drug abuse or other anti-social behaviour within our on-train environment. Toilets, however, are more difficult to monitor, since their use behind a locked door is essentially private.
"We therefore regard this regrettable finding as unrepresentative of a situation peculiar to our trains, and rather a sad reflection of the increasing abuse of drugs in the wider environment from which our services are clearly not exempt.
"We shall, of course, draw the attention of our staff to the regrettable situation discovered by ITV and remind them of the need for thorough cleaning of all on-train areas at every opportunity."
