Sussex Post Office closures announced

There is just four days left of the six week public consultation.  The new area plan proposes future provision of services through a network of 234  branches across the area, resulting in the closure of  49 existing branches.

• Members of the public affected by the closures have been invited to comment on the plans before December 24 2007.

The Post Office is also proposing to establish two new outreach services in the Sussex area, which could include mobile services,  a hosted service operated within third party premises for restricted hours each week, or a partner service within the premises of a local partner (such as a pub landlord).
