South East building plans

Over half a million new homes - that's want the government wants to build in the South East by 2026.
Under the proposals Hampshire will get more than 130,000 new homes. The Isle of Wight, 10,000 and Kent more than 139,000. The plans have been 10 years in the making and will shape the development of the Meridian and Thames Valley region for the next 18 years.
The South East England Regional Assembly have launched a public consultation on the building which is due to finish in October. For more information on the proposals and the consultation process visit the Regional Assembly website here.
