Royal Television Society Award winners

Meridian and Thames Valley scooped six awards between them in February's RTS Awards in the South.

Here is the list of winners and the work that won them these prestigious awards.

Best Regional News Magazine Show: Thames Valley Tonight			Robin Britton, Head of ITV News Meridian & Thames Valley said “We’re absolutely delighted – to receive this award in our first year of transmission is a great achievement and is down to how all the members of the team pulled out all the stops to cover the biggest civil emergency for 25 years.”
Best Regional TV Journalist: Simon Clemison			Upon receiving his award Simon said "I work with a brilliant team at ITV Meridian and Thames Valley. They make work so enjoyable, an atmosphere where you really can thrive".
Best Feature/Strand Production: Ian Maclaren			Ian said " I believe I owe an explanation for rashly sharing the feature award with Steven Spielberg. Steven did graciously allow us to use material from his ofen overlooked movie Amistad. I would also like to thank Adrian Wills, Will Dore and Bob Tolson.

Best Graphics: Amanda Hall			Amanda won the award for her graphics used in the Ufton Nervet rail crash, Stonehenge solstice and monopoly house prices.
Most Promising Newcomer: Keith Peries Thames Valley			Keith became director in March 2007 and has great passion and promise in a crucial role with a new News service. Live programmes such as the 25th anniversary of the Falklands and the summer floods were a testimony of Keith's skills and abilities. Keith is now part of ITV's Fast-track scheme.
