Mundesley Inshore Lifeboat and 1st Mundesley (Air) Scouts BOXING DAY DIP On 26th December on the beach in front of the Boathouse,  Mundesley Norfolk.  Refreshments served from 10.30 am. A lifeboat demonstration at 10.45 am and the DIP  as 11 am. A prize of dinner for 2 for the best fancy dress

Sheringham Park Ramble on Sunday 4 January, 2.00pm at the Visitor Centre. Volunteer-led ramble starting from the Visitor Centre. You must have suitable clothing and footwear and the ability to walk for at least 2 hours.  Dogs on leads please. Car park charges apply for non-members. Free to all

Pulham Players Pantomime 2009 is over-run with rats! Dick Whittington with the help of his cat, Tommy could make his fortune, but he’d better take care! The rats, led by the villainous King Rat, are out to cause trouble for our two heroes. The performances take place at the Pulham Market Memorial Hall from Wednesday 7th to Saturday 10th January 2009 starting at 7:30pm with a Matinee on the Saturday starting at 2:30pm.  Tickets from 01379-676769. Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire

Pedal off the pud by biking it on Boxing Day. Meet near the war memorial at the north end of the High Street in old Stevenage (SG1 3EJ) in time for a 10a.m. start. All welcome and it's free. Expect a fairly gentle morning ride with a CTC leader and sweeper.  There will be a refreshment stop in Radwell before returning to the old town.
Then on New Year's Day start 2009 with the resolution ride.  Once again meet in old Stevenage for a 10am start but this time the destination is Codicote.

On Wednesday 17 December the Philharmonia Orchestra joins forces with Bedford Youth Camerata for a festive performance of Handel’s Messiah at Bedford Corn Exchange.
