How does your local hospital rate?

People across the region have been asked what they think of their local hospitals, and the results of the survey have just been published. The Healthcare Commission asked about patient care, same sex wards and the quality of food at all our local NHS trusts.

Click here for a video report from the west of the Anglia region, where Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire was rated one of the best in the country for patient care, but the Luton and Dunstable was in the bottom 20. Bedford and Milton Keynes General were seen to be overcrowded, but Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge fared much better. The food at Kettering and Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon rated well, but Northampton General was near the bottom of that list.

Click here for a video report from the east of the Anglia region, where Ipswich Hospital rated badly in all three categories.  The James Paget at Gorleston scored highly on food standards and the West Suffolk at Bury St Edmunds did well for a low number of mixed wards. The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital was the only one to finish in the overall top 20.
