Shell tanker drivers returned to work on Tuesday 17th June after a four day national strike. It affected depots in Bedfordshire and Essex, although most garages had enough supplies to stay open. Their union said the drivers deserved more money because their job is skilled and dangerous. Another strike due to start on Friday 20th June has been called off after talks between the drivers' union and employers.
