West London Finalists
Julius Aitken and Aimee Thackray come together as programmer and vocalist/lyricist, with other band members Harry Tarlton, Carl Englemarc, Markus Zee and Rob Vetch, to make up the group Hoover Manoeuvres. Unsigned, independent and self funded, the group find their own gigs, film their own videos and promote themselves.
Their first album Eponymous was released in 2006, which featured a number of collaborations with different artists including Emma Burgess and Simon Twitchin (from Horace X).
Notable performances have been at the Lovebox Weekender, Glastonbury Unsigned and Cafe de Paris. They have also been involved in a number of promotional projects with Bacardi and they work hard to raise money for their favourite charity www.music4children.org.
They are now working on their second Album Meds, which has just been released this year.
Hoover Manoeuvres performed at the west London quarter final of the London 2012 Talent contest in Hammersmith & Fulham on 26th March 2008.
